### Comma AI Installation Guide

#### Step 1: Remove the Rearview Mirror Cover Trim

  • Removal Method:
    • Hondas: Strong tug to pop it off.
    • Toyotas: Slide outward.
  • Tip: Check YouTube for a comma installation guide specific to your car make.

#### Step 2: Connect Car Harness into the Camera

  • Unplug the existing LKAS camera connector.
  • Plug the harness connector into the LKAS camera.
  • Secure the harness box:

1. Find a location for the harness box so the trim fits over it.

  2. Use the adhesive sticker to attach the harness box.

#### Step 3: Plug the RJ45 Cable into the Harness Box

  • Steps:

1. Plug the RJ45 cable into the harness box – ensure a secure connection.

  2. Route the RJ45 cable across the car to the OBD-II port (usually below the steering wheel, left side).
  3. Plug the RJ45 cable into comma power and connect comma power to the OBD-II port.

#### Step 4: Place Mount High and Centered on the Windshield

  • Mounting Preparation:

1. Clean the windshield with the included alcohol wipe and let it dry.

  2. Position the mount so it is fully visible from the driver's seat.
* **Adhere the Mount**:
  1. Remove the 3M tape's cover and press the mount firmly in the center, then along the edges.
  2. Let the adhesive cure for 48 hours before attaching the comma device.

#### Step 5: Plug in OBD-C and Mount the Device

  • Steps:

1. Plug the right-angle OBD-C cable into the harness box.

  2. Clean all three lenses of the comma device with the included microfiber cloth.
  3. Plug the OBD-C cable into the back of the comma device and mount it on the windshield.

#### Step 6: Pair Your Device with Comma Connect

  • Download the comma connect app and pair your device via [connect.comma.ai](https://connect.comma.ai).

#### Step 7: Reinstall the Rearview Mirror Cover Trim

  • Ensure the car harness fits fully inside the trim.
  • Route the OBD-C cable out from the top.
