====== Monero Full Guide (Wallet & Node & Mining & OpenAlias) ======
Monero is a cryptocurrency that relies on proof-of-work mining to achieve distributed consensus. Below you'll find some information and resources on how to begin using monero within the monero-wallet-gui, creating a node and mining monero and creating a individual OpenAlias address to your seed of choice.. 

===== Wallet =====
With your Wallet, you can store seed's, create new addresses, checking balance and send transactions. Within the crypto-world the principle goes like:
   * Cold Wallet (Computer without WIFI or Software besides the Wallet) = Your Bank Account
   * Hot Wallet (Kastelo & Flipper Zero you can carry around) = Your Purse

Install the wallet from the official Repository, if you're reading this guide, you probably want the GUI Version (Graphical User Interface)

After installation you have three options. When you loose your seed, youre doomed and you're money is now gone. Your Seed will be used is used to create adresses, you can view an illustration [[https://marlonivo.xyz/assets/seed.png|here]].


===== Node =====
Nodes sind Computer, die die gesamte Blockchain heruntergeladen haben und anderen Nutzern helfen, indem sie ihre Wallets synchronisieren und ihre Daten weiterleiten.

Systemanforderungen: 
    * 2 VCPUs
    * 4 GB RAM
    * 200 GB SSD

1. Install and extract the monero full node:

2. Start, bind to your domain and detach it (change YOUR_DESIRED_POOL and YOUR_DOMAIN_OR_IP and YOUR_PORT):

===== Mining =====
Mining is possible with any of your devices, so we will go trough both phone and computer. For your phone, you might wanna use the App [[https://f-droid.org/packages/org.elijaxapps.androidxmrigminer/|Android XMRIG Miner]] For your Computer, there are many posibilities how to mine, you can choose between:
    * **Solo:** You can mine using your Monero wallet. No need for additional software, but takes more time, and is inperminent because your device obviously shutdowns sometimes.
    * **Pool:** Frequent payouts. You will receive XMR according to how much you are participating in the pool of your choice.
    * **P2Pool:** P2Pool is a sidechain to Monero, and P2Pool blocks are potentially Monero blocks. Each miner submits block templates that include payouts to all of the miners that are mining at the same time. High quality block templates are added to the P2Pool blockchain as blocks; these count as "shares" for the miner who found them.

For this turorial i chose P2Pool, because it has the most benefits to it:

ssh into your computer, which you should use instead of your regular one, since it's not on constantly:

After you are within your Computer.

1. Download p2pool and xmrig:

2. Now start p2pool (change YOUR_WALLET_ADDRESS):

5. Finally start xmrig:

===== OpenAlias =====

The Monero project created a simpler way to share your Monero public address. For example, our Monero.how donation address is:

but OpenAlias allows us to configure our domain so that people can donate to us simply by entering:

as the address to send to from a Monero wallet.

If you'd like to create your own OpenAlias address, you must own or control your own domain name. If you do go to your DNS Records and add the following txt Record to it, change `YOURNAME`, `YOURDESCRIPTION` and of course the recipient_address to your preferings. YOURNAME will changed into the OpenAlias domain = YOURNAME.yourdomain.xyz:
